Simulation

Constellation is a platform for your aerospace simulations!
Please contact us, if you need computing power for your own simulation.

If you don't have an own idea there are possible project-ideas from users in our forum waiting to be realised.
The Constellation-Team: Feel free to contact us according to our expertises. (Email-addresses are obscured by reCAPTCHA)

I have always been fascinated by the genre of science-fiction since I was a kid. This somehow influenced me and made me enthusiastic about space-exploration. But the spark for my decision to study aerospace engineering was ignited during the time of the Mars Pathfinder Mission in 1997 and after reading "The Case for Mars" by Robert Zubrin & Richard Wagner when I was in a German gymnasium (secondary school). I finally studied aerospace engineering at the University of Applied Sciences in Bremen (Germany) and did my diploma-thesis in developing a method for ascend trajectory optimization in 2009.

I had always been fascinated by the night sky. In school I learnt what are planets and what are stars . The night skys started to fascinate me even more, because I knew this time the dots of lights are real entites where something is going on. I grew up more. Now I study Earth and Space Science at Jacobs University in Bremen, Germany. My interest is mostly studying and simulating the evoluation of natural processes in planetary systems. I am part of the official Google Lunar XPrize Team, the team Synergy Moon, and of course I want to study the activities near moon surface. I am also interested in planetary exploration technologies.
Apart from sitting behind the computer screen, I enjoy photography, and skydiving.

I have studied physics at the Friedrich-Schiller University Jena and the University of Leipzig.
I just finished my Master at the International Space University in France.
Currently, I am working on developing the HP3 instrument for the future GEMS (GEophysical Monitoring Station) mission for Mars.

I'm a computer scientist, working as an employee of a telecomunication company. Since 1997 I'm running distributed computing projects on my computers. The first was distributed.net's RC5-56 project. Afterwards I took part in a lot of projects. In 2002 I joined the community of Rechenkraft.net.

In 2007 I was interested in the server side of a distributed computing project and started the yoyo@home project. Since 2009 I'm also an admin of the RNA World project and since 2010 I'm helping Constellation@home.

Because I had been living in the approach corridor of the airport Berlin Schönefeld (EDDB)since childhood I got interessted in aviation. By now I'm learning to gain the private piloting licence (PPL). This technical background knowledge gives me a unique view behind the technical aspects of aviation, which I want to spend into this project.
Currently I fulfill my basic military service in the German Air Force (Deutsche Luftwaffe).

A while back I got interessted in using my computer better and get more out of it. This ment also that if I have nothing to do with my machine other projects could need it. So I began to crunch. The time passed and I got Rechenkraft.net e.V. and helped in their wiki and board. There I got help from others and helped others. kind of distributed thinking. Someday -horn- asked for help at his new project. The problem was that I have time so I ended here. Nice to get from only crunching to helping in maintaining this project.
